The National Fire Authority said they have identified some areas where new fire hydrants are needed.
Chief Fire Officer, Mark Reid said they are waiting for the Interim government's response to their submission to Cabinet install more than 800 fire hydrants in different parts of the country.
He adds that fire hydrants are necessary as they make the work easier for firefighters in times of fire in rural and interior settlements.
