The new Fiji Airways A330-300 aircraft is expected to touchdown in Nadi today at 10am.

Fiji Airways spokesperson Shane Hussein says that President Jioji Konrote will be on the flight.

Hussein says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will also be in Nadi with other Ministers to welcome the aircraft.

Managing Director and CEO Andre Viljoen says 100 new jobs are expected to be created with the arrival of the new plane.

Viljoen says this job will be for pilots and cabin crew.

He adds that the new aircraft will have more seats and its name will be revealed at the official ceremony tomorrow.

Meanwhile, people in the Mamanuca’s, Yasawa’s might get a glimpse of the new aircraft depending on the weather.
