The new Deputy Commissioner for the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is expected to be appointed by President Ratu Josefa Iloilo today.
Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the appointment will be made following the resignation of Captain Esala Teleni from the Acting FICAC Deputy Commissioner's post.
Sayed-Khaiyum said work is also continuing in trying to appoint a new commissioner for FICAC. However, he said FICAC will continue to operate without any difficulties after the appointment of the Deputy Commissioner.
