The villagers in Drauni-ivi in the province of Ra have waited for four long years to witness the launching of their new Dolphin Tourism Project at the village by the Tourism Minister, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum yesterday.
Speaking to the villagers at the launching yesterday, Sayed Khaiyum said that the project was one of its kind in Fiji and the villagers should protect the environment to keep the project running.
Meanwhile, Drauniivi Tourism Project co-ordinator, Solomone Donu said they will see that they get all the assistance they have to keep it viable.
The Drauniivi Dolphin Tourism Project is a partnership between the villagers of Drauniivi and The0 Managing Director of Kadar Buses Limited, Nasir Ali Shah, who will bring the tourists to the village.
