New netball national coach Melissa Walker is confident that she will take the Association to the next level and improve their standings on the world front as she had been doing the same back home in New Zealand.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Walker said that one major reason for being given the job is her ability to groom young players for the Silver Ferns, an objective she would want to do with Fiji.
Walker added that she understands the financial limbo that Netball Fiji is in at the moment, however she aims to take the national team to the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
Walker has 11 months to prepare the Under-21 national team for the World Youth Netball Championships in the Cook Islands next year and the Mini Pacific Games.
