A new champion will be named at this week's Macuata Zone Two meet, after they have formed their own zone and a total of ten schools will be taking part in the competition.

When contaced by Fijivillage Sports, Zone Co-ordinator, Mohammed Taj said that competition will be very interesting as there has been close rivalry between Labasa College, Nabala High School, Labasa Muslim College and Dreketi High School.

However, Taj said that the major obstacle in preparations is the lack of equipment however despite this, the students are still eager to continue preparations with the resources available.

He said the equipment they have is now been used by Macuata Zone One athletes and officials, and for them, a new set of equipment will arrive later this afternoon from Suva.

The Macuata Zone Two will be held on Friday at the Labasa College Schools grounds.
