The board of the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited is expected to announce a new Chief Executive Officer of the company soon.

Fijivillage has received confirmation that the announcement is expected to be made within the next few hours through the South Pacific Stock Exchange as FSC is a publicly listed company.

We have also received word that current CEO, Deo Saran is no longer in the position.

Fijivillage has been informed that the likely person to take up the post is former Permanent Secretary for Finance John Prasad.

The major shareholders of FSC are the government and the FNPF.

The government of Fiji owns 30.239 million shares while FNPF has 7.810 million shares.
