The newly appointed Chief Executive and Managing Director of Air Pacific, Dave Plieger is looking forward to making Fiji's international carrier successful and to deliver the best results for the people of Fiji.
Plieger who took over the position a few days ago said Air Pacific has a lot of potential and hopes are high that it will turn around and start delivering profits again.
Plieger said he sees challenges as opportunities and he has started having discussions with Air Pacific staff to look at various opportunities that will assist in the growth of the airline company.
Plieger takes over from John Campbell.
Plieger is a former Senior Vice President at Virgin America.
He has 25 years of aviation industry experience as a business executive, attorney and pilot.
He joined Virgin America as a founding officer in 2004 and was also a Virgin American A319/320 Captain.
Plieger is also the former Vice President of Operations for Delta Airlines' low-cost airline subsidiary, Song.
