Today marks another special day as Air Pacific’s first brand new A330 will be making its first commercial flight to New Zealand.  

Air Pacific spokesman Shane Hussein said the A330 is flying to Auckland today, tomorrow, Thursday and Friday while it makes its first commercial flight to Hong Kong on Saturday.
 
Hussein said Air Pacific is excited for their customers to experience the new aircraft and the enhanced levels of service they will receive.

To mark the occasion today, entertainment with a NZ theme is currently underway at the Nadi Airport while a welcome ceremony and Maori powhiri as well as a traditional Fijian ceremony will be held in Auckland later today with the arrival of the A330 airbus.

The A330 is expected to depart for Auckland at 8.45 this morning.

Air Pacific CEO and Managing Director Dave Pliefger and Air Pacific executives as well as paying passengers will be part of the inaugural flight.

Auckland International Airport Limited Chief Executive Officer Adrian Littlewood will officiate together with Pflieger at the Auckland airport’s welcome ceremony.
