Students should not lose hope if they are not doing well academically as there are other ways to face this challenge in life.
First timers in FM96 Tadra Kahani with TFL and Fijivillage, Saint Joseph the worker of Naulu are looking forward to taking to the stage tonight as the teachers are motivating students to gain confidence as they will be facing thousands of people tonight.
Liaison teacher, Pauline Gucake said many students in their school face many different challenges which affect them academically which are the reason why they chose the theme of "Every Child can learn, The Challenges of school for long term rewards in Life."
Meanwhile, Save the Children's CEO Chandra Shekhar said there are many factors why children do not gain academic success.
He added parents sometimes do not encourage children to get higher education as they cannot afford it.
Some parents have high expectations from their children in certain areas however their children have interests in other fields.
According to Shekhar peer pressure is one of the main problem which leads to students getting involved in other attractions.
It is a story that goes back 136 years ago and the new generation of Ratu Ravuama Memorial School in Tailevu will be sharing this story tonight in the Junior division finals of the FM 96 Tadra Kahani with TFL and Legend FM.
Head Teacher, Makelesi Turagacati says the people of Mokani where the school is located are the traditional warriors for the then Vunivalu of Bau, Ratu Seru Cakobau and it was their duty during that time of cannibalism to go to Nubutautau in Navosa to check whether Reverend Tomas Baker was still alive but unfortunately out of the 8 that went to investigate, only one returned home to inform them of what had happened.
Turagacati added that a man by the name of Waisea was the lone survivor and when he returned to the village it was on a piece of land where he relayed the message to their elders.
The land is now used to plant cassava and make "bila" to sell in the market which is the only source of income for them to send their children to school and most of them now hold top positions in the civil service and the private sector.
Last Friday the students of Ratu Ravuama who are taking part in the Tadra Kahani presented their show to the villagers for their blessings before tonight's show at the Vodafone Arena.
Nadi Airport School, Drasa Avenue School, St Joseph the Worker, Ratu Ravuama Memorial School, International Primary School Suva, Rishikul Primary, Bainivalu Primary, St Agnes Primary, Nakelo District School and title holders Pacific Harbour Multi-Cultural School will take to the stage in the Tadra Kahani Junior Division finals tonight.
The senior division finals will be held tomorrow night with 14 schools battling it out for top honours.
