Never forget the hand that raised you.
That is the sentiment of 68 year old Emily Chang from Savusavu, who is setting up a shelter for those parents that have been neglected by their children.
Chang said back in her time, she took on the role of bread winner at the age of 5 years, so that her parents would have a home and feel safe.
Chang added that nowadays its more easier to look after the elderly and children should never forget the hard work and sacrifice their parents made for them.
The Star of David Shelter is expected to open next month.
