Netball trip to Cook Island not a picnic trip
These are sentiments echoed by Fiji Netball coach Unaisi Rokoura during the girls training session at the Edgewater gymnasium yesterday.
Rokoura stressed to the girls that the road to the Cook Islands has not been an easy one for all of them, they had to dig deep even to get their air fares, and they are there for one aim, and that is to make it to the World Championships next year in Singapore.
Rokoura said she is happy that the team is working well on their combinations and is happy that ace goal shooter, Cecilia Sorby is showing positive signs after recovering from her knee injury.
Fiji's first game will be against Samoa on Friday, then they meet Papua New Guinea and their last game is against the Cook Islands.
Fiji will need to finish in the top two at the Pacific Cup to qualify for the 2011 World Championships in Singapore.
