National Netball reps Matila Waqanidrola and Lusiana Robanakadavu are likely to make the cut in the Fiji women’s Basketball team for the Olympic qualifying tournament in Spain in June.

Waqanidrola played for Fiji in their opening warm-up match against the Wellington side, which Fiji won 96-68 and her performance was impressive.

Robanakadavu was supposed to have played last night in the second warm-up match but due to the power failure at the Vodafone Arena, the match was called off but Fiji were leading 39-25.

The final game between Fiji and touring Wellington Basketball side will be played tomorrow morning at 8:30am at the Vodafone Arena and Coach Michael Whippy will have a fair idea which 10 players to choose from the current 20 member squad to the Olympic qualifying tournament.
