Netball Fiji said they do not agreed with the $40,000 amount that sacked coach Melissa Walker is claiming is owed to her.
Walker has asked Netball Fiji to pay the outstanding amount and only then will she return to New Zealand.
President Milika Munivai said Walker was sacked in June by Netball Fiji, and since then they had nothing to do with her although the Sports Ministry intefered and reinstated her back.
Munivai said Ministry of Youth and Sports is now responsible for Walker's outstanding money.
Munivai said Netball Fiji owes her money but it's not the $40,000 as claimed, adding they will pay her before she goes back to New Zealand.
When asked, on whether Netball Fiji will pay her that amount before she leaves the country within the next 7 days as directed by the Immigration Department, Munivai said the treasurer is working on that at the moment.
Munivai also said that Netball Fiji had to inform the Immigration Department after Walker's contract was terminated because she was brought to Fiji on a work permit. The Immigration Department has given Walker seven days to leave the country.
