The Interim Committee, that is currently running the affairs of Netball Fiji, is awaiting the arrival of the national team from the Cook Islands after a successful Pacific Cup Series, to officially relay to them the news that President, Milika Munivai has resigned.

Lautoka netball President, Sala Drasuna confirmed that she was in the meeting that was held on Friday where Munivai handed in her resignation letter.

Drasuna added that Munivai cited personal reasons and they respected her decision, but they will await the team=s arrival tomorrow, before their next step will be finalised.

She said that they will want a formal transition to be made for the betterment of the sport in Fiji.

Munivai handed in her resignation letter on Friday afternoon to her committee members and in due respect the members also decided to also step down.

This included Patricia Rokoua who was Secretary and Christina Rokoua who was Treasurer.

There is an Interim Committee that is running the affairs of Netball Fiji at the moment, believed to be led by Wainikiti Bogidrau.

Bogidrau is currently on leave and efforts to get a comment from her proved futile.
