Netball Fiji officials are hopeful that they will receive the remaining funds from the Interim Government before the team departs to Samoa for the Pacific Games next month.

Secretary Patricia Rokoua has confirmed that they have only received a third of the portion, which is $100,000 from the $350,000 promised to them by the Interim Government.

Rokoua said the remaining two thirds of the money will come some time next week which will cover their cost for the Pacific Games and World Netball Championships.

Meanwhile, the national netball team has been drawn in Pool A during the Pacific Games. They are grouped with American Samoa, Niue, Solomons and Cook Islands.
