The Fiji Netball Association (FNA) will have to find funds themselves to get newly appointed coach Melissa Walker into the country.

Walker who was named coach last month has not arrived to take up her post as she is still in New Zealand waiting for Netball Fiji to give details about her new role.

The Association had earlier asked the government for funding, however, they have not received a reply.

FNA President Milika Munivai has confirmed that she will be in the country next month to help her assistant Unaisi Rokoura prepare a team for the World Youth Championship in the Cook Islands next year.

The Youth Championship is just 11 months away and a 60 member team has been training for the past few weeks waiting for the arrival of their new coach.

Walker replaces Vilimaina Davu who has gone back to New Zealand.
