Maritino Nemani Jnr finds it hard to believe that he is a professional rugby player with the Chiefs after just three provincial games for Hawke's Bay.

The young Fiji born wing, whose family lives in Auckland where he went to high school, is one of the least known players in the big list of new names recruited by New Zealand Super Rugby franchises for the 2012 season.

Earlier this year the 20 year old was playing age grade club rugby for Auckland Marist colts and was a member of the Auckland academy, having been in the New Zealand Schools team in 2009, before being recruited for Hawke's Bay.

Nemani could have followed his father into football B a sport where Maritino Nemani Snr excelled as Fiji captain and coach B but it wasn't for him.

Given the number of other new faces in the team, and the presence of several Hawke's Bay players and fellow Fijian outside back Asaeli Tikoirotuma, he does not feel out of place, although he admits to being a little awe struck by some of the big names in the Chiefs.
