A family in Caubati could have lost all their belongings in a fire this morning if their neighbour had not been quick enough to call the National Fire Authority.
Acting Station Officer, Qoroniyasi Mau said NFA received a call around 11.30am and the fire fighters upon arriving at the scene found smoke coming out of a double storey three bedroom concrete house.
Fire fighters quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated the room.
Mau adds that initial investigation show that the fire could have started from the laundry area.
