Negotiations are now underway between the Fiji Nursing Association and Commodore Frank Bainimarama to try and end the FNA's nation-wide strike.
Kuini Lutua said she is ready to meet with Commodore Bainimarama later this morning.
And as the nurses strike enters its third day, Lutua said their membership has increased as off yesterday as more nurses are joining their striking colleagues.
Meanwhile it has been confirmed that as the strike continues, FNA members in the various centers are converging at designated locations.
Members from Tailevu, Korovou, Nausori and Nasinu are gathering at the FNA headquarters in Suva while striking nurses at various health centers in the Western division are to join their colleagues at the Lautoka picketing site and similar steps are being taken in the northern division where the FNA members assemble at the Labasa Hospital.
