Fijivillage paid a visit to the Old People's home where we got the chance to speak to some father's who were eagerly waiting for their children.
Sixty year old, Ram Kirpal, said his wife and children left him five years ago to fend for himself after he had elephantiasis.
Kirpal who was a farmer worked hard for his children so that they could have a comfortable life but was deserted by his wife and children because he was no longer able to earn money.
He had elephantiasis but not aware of it until much later and he had no one to look after him so he went to the old people's home where he is well looked after.
