Negative media reporting about Fiji definitely had an impact with New Zealanders hesitant about traveling to Fiji.
Stu Freeman the Editor of Travelinc Magazine based in Auckland, who was one of the international media representatives at the Bula Fiji Tourism Exchange last week Fiji's Tourism industry said they were often asked questions when ever negative reports were made in the NZ media.
Freeman however said signs are that things are looking brighter judging by the turnout at the exchange.
Travelinc has more than 10,000 subscribers for both its magazine and e-newsletter.
