Vodafone Flying Fijians wing Waisea Nayacalevu was in top form as he scored a try to help Stade Français beat Brive 20‑17.
The result means Stade Francais maintained their unbeaten home record and elevates them to third spot on the table despite a scare and missing out on a bonus point.
They are now third with 35 points from 12 games, two points behind reigning French and European champions Toulon, who defeated arch-rivals Clermont 27-19 to move top of the Top 14.
Clermont are one point behind Toulon in second with Racing-Metro fourth on 33 points.
Meanwhile, former Vodafone Fiji 7s player Benito Masilevu also featured for Brive.
