Nawaka a top bet for Fiji Bitter Marist 7s
The Nadi based team and former winners of the Marist 7s has been preparing under the guidance of former national reps like brothers Semisi and Apisai Naevo, Ilai Derenalagi and Lalai Driu.
A player to look out for in Nawaka is Esava Qoro.
The 23-year-old forward is the son of former Flying Fijians player Manasa Qoro.
Qoro stood out for the Nawaka side in last week’s Martintar 7s in Nadi and he is being trained how to contest kick offs by Semisi Naevo.
Qoro said he aims to don the national jumper this year.
Nawaka is in the pool of death with Wardens Green, Benito Masilevu’s Lomaiviti Babas and Uluinakau One.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will kick off this Friday at the ANZ Stadium.
