The Water Authority of Fiji has urged residents of Navua to collect water as they will face disruptions whole of today.

Authority spokesperson Maika Nagalu said a 6 inch main pipe in Deuba burst this morning causing disruptions to the whole area, Taunovo and Galoa.

The water engineers are expected to start working on the pipe during lunch which is expected to be complete by this evening.

Also Residents living in Wailailai, Votua, Mataniqara, Vadravadra, Natalacake, Sorokoba, Vatileka, Varavu and Itatoko are being advised if water is still in your taps please store some now, as you will experience water disruptions throughout the day.

Nagalu said this is due to a burst water main which occurred at Wailailai Flat in Ba this morning.

He said their men are fixing this water main at the moment and it is expected to complete by 3 o’clock this afternoon.

Supply is expected to normalize again to all the above areas around 6 o'clock this evening.

Meanwhile a burst water main also occurred in Sarava, Labasa that caused disruptions to Rara, Batinikama, Siberia, Vunivau and Bulileka.

Nagalu said water trucks will be carting water to the areas and supply should be normalize by this afternoon.
