Close to 200 people are taking shelter at LDS Church in Calia Navua.
LDS Church Bishop, Krishn Naidu said many roads from Navua town to Raiwaqa are under about 6 feet of water and the flood waters are still rising.
Naidu has also asked for assistance in terms of food for those taking shelter.
Meanwhile, Navua Fire Authority Officer-In-charge Nabi Buksh said the next high tide in the next few hours may worsen the situation in Navua.
Evacuation centres have been opened and people can take shelter at these places: Vashisht Muni College, Ram Pur College and LDS church.
In Nadi, Nadi back road has been closed to all traffic due to the heavy down pour since last night.
