The Navua soccer team is in confident mood that they are on track to make the semifinals of the Courts IDC if other results go in their favour.

Mathematically Labasa and Tavua also have a chance to make it through to the semis.

Navua beat Nadroga by 1-0 this morning and now leads Pool 1 with nine points and a plus four goal difference.

Tavua has three matches remaining which are against Nadroga, Navua and Lautoka.

If Tavua wins all the three matches, then Tavua will also have nine points.

Tavua showed yesterday that they also mean business when they gave the defending champion, Labasa a tough time in the game where they lost 2-1 to Labasa.

Labasa currently has three points and have matches remaining against Lautoka and Nadroga.

If the Babasiga Lions win both their matches, then they will also have nine points and the two semifinalists from Pool 1 may be decided on goal difference.

However, if Tavua loses points in their match against Nadroga this afternoon, then Navua will confirm themselves as the first semifinalists from Pool 1.

The Tavua and Nadroga match kicks off 4pm at Govind Park.

Meanwhile, earlier today Rewa beat Savusavu 3-1.
