Chief Fire Officer, Mark Reid has confirmed that they are working with the Police Forensic Squad to determine the cause of the fire which destroyed former Appeals Court President, Gordon Ward's residence in Pacific Harbour at the weekend.
Reid said they expect to determine the cause within 24 hours as investigations continue.
Lagoon Hotel Managing Director, Jim Sherlock said discussions with the National Fire Authority have already taken place about a possible fire facility at Pacific Harbour and adds that community support is an integral part in the setting up such a facility.
