Navua faces tough battle in defense of IDC
The 2010 Courts IDC kicks off at the TFL Stadium today and Navua have brought the same two players from overseas who helped them win their first ever IDC last year.
New Zealand based Salesh Kumar and US based Stephen Clemens should provide the extra edge Navua needs to topple other teams.
President, Anil Sharma said the road is tough and every match will be important for them.
Sharma added Ba remains the biggest threat for them to retain the prestigious cup.
The Navua soccer team lost to Rewa in the final of Inkk Mobile BOG and has not won any titles this year.
The team needs to win the Courts IDC in order to book a place in the Champions league next year.
The official opening of the Courts IDC will start at 4.30pm today with the first super Premier match at 5.30pm between Navua and Labasa.
The live commentary of the match can be heard on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
Meanwhile, the Premier division matches will start at 10am where Rakiraki will take on Levuka.
