The Navua soccer team has become the first Southern Division side to win the Fiji Bitter Fact title on Western Soil since it started in 1991.
The Gurjeet Singh coached side proved all critics wrong when they lifted the Trophy for the second time at Nadi's Prince Charles Park yesterday after beating Vodafone Labasa 1-0 in the final.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Singh said he was always confident of a victory.
Navua soccer President Anil Sharma said a big celebration is in store for his players. He said this is another milestone for him as Navua is in the Bottom-Four competition of the National Soccer League.
The Navua soccer team will return this morning from Nadi at about 10:30am.
