A 21 year old mechanic of Calia, Navua has died after the car he was trying to repair caught fire yesterday.
According to police the car which belongs to a Police Sergant in Navua was given to the mechanic for repair when the incident took place.
So far it has been established that the mechanic was testing the car battery in a bucket full of fuel when it caught fire.
The car has been completely destroyed and the mechanic sustained more than 60 percent burns.
Police Investigation continues and mechanics have been urged to be careful while handling fuel.
