Police have arrested and charged a 22 year old man of Navua for allegedly raping a 26 year old woman inside his home this week.
Navua Police have confirmed the woman went to the man's house for a fundraising and after the event the victim decided to spend the night there.
It is alleged the man raped her when she was sleeping alone.
He is in police custody and will appear in the Navua Magistrates Court on Monday.
Meanwhile, police have arrested and charged a machinist of Navua for allegedly sexually assaulting a Form 5 student.
The machinist who also drives his minivan allegedly committed the offence when he was driving the student home after school.
The girl reported the matter to police. He will also appear in the Navua Court on Monday.
