Fiji Fact Champion Southern Forest Navua have kicked off their FMF/Blue Gas Battle of the Giants on a winning note with a 2-0 win against Tavua at Thompson Park.

It was the first game in a tournament to be hosted by Navua who did not let their fans down as they dominated the game from the opening whistle.

Tavua held Navua to a nil all draw in the first half before striker Apisai Smith and Praneel Chand scored in the second half for the side to record their first 3 points.

In the other game, Nadi came from behind to force a 1 all draw against Rewa.

The delta tigers were leading 1-0 from an Alvin Prasad goal in the first half before Viliame Toma equalized for Nadi with only two minutes of play remaining.
