The match between Navua and Ba at Thompson Park this afternoon was called off because of unfavorable weather conditions.

The decision was made after halftime, when the referee decided that the game should not go on, because he feared for the safety of the players.

Ba soccer President Rishi Kumar had raised concerns before the match that the game should not go on because the ground was not up to standard and was filled with water.

However, the game went on and Alvin Singh scored Ba's first goal in the 10th minute of the first half.

Navua soccer coach Gurjeet Singh was thankful that the game was called off as both teams found difficulty playing on the soaked field.
