The Nausori Town Council has number of development plans in place and one of the major projects is the restructure of Nausori market which is expected to cost 20 million dollars.
Special Administrator Napolioni Masirewa said the council has completed a scoping study and are working on the feasibility study which is expected to continue from June till October.
Masirewa said the number of sellers and customers in Nausori market has increased which causes a lot of overcrowding and traffic jams and there is a need to address these issues.
He added that there are plans to relocate the Nausori bus stand and develop it into a retail center for tourism adding that these developments are expected to take place in the next five to ten years.
