Police are investigating a case whereby the body of a newborn baby was brought to the Nausori Health Centre on Friday morning by a 23 year old woman.
Nausori Police have confirmed that the body was packed in a sack and doctors at the Nausori Health Centre reported the matter to police.
Police are awaiting the post mortem report to determine whether the baby died after birth or was dead before he was born.
The 23 year old single mother is still admitted in hospital and police are expected to take her in for questioning, once she is released from the hospital.
