The time for looking north is passed and it is now time to go!
Those are the words of Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau acting chairman Commander Viliame Naupoto on the government's look north policy.
Naupoto believes the name of the policy should now be changed with the FTIB opening its new office in Labasa earlier this month.
Meanwhile, FTIB CEO Annie Rogers revealed at the launch of FTIB's Exporter of the Year Awards that they continue to look for new markets for Fiji products.
Rogers revealed that FTIB will lead a delegation of local business people to Malaysia to try and secure buyers for their products.
She said with the devaluation of the Fiji dollar, they want to take advantage and ensure new markets are secured which will help increase foreign reserves through increased export earnings.
