Acting Permanent Secretary for Fisheries Commander Viliame Naupoto is now the Acting Chairman of the Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau (FTIB).
Commander Naupoto confirmed that he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of FTIB following the confirmation that former Chair Francis Narayan had decided to go back to New Zealand.
Naupoto said he will handle the Chairman's responsibilities until a new Chair is appointed.
Meanwhile, the FTIB will have its first ever office in the Northern division from this Friday.
The first office in the North will be in Labasa.
