It brought tears to his eyes as a player in 1998 when they lost the prestigious BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy to Naitasiri and now as a head coach of Nadroga, Esala Nauga does not want to go through the same result again on Saturday.
12 years on and in the same ground at Lawaqa Park where Naitasiri stamped their mark, it is testing time now for Nauga and his boys on whether they can defend their home turf for the sixth time for the 8th week in a row.
Facing his master and former Nadroga mentor has not been an easy assignment for Nauga.
They have met 5 times with Naitasiri coach Reverend Joji Rinakama winning on 3 occasions but most importantly this season the Stallions lost at home in their Digicel Cup opening game and also in the final at Ratu Cakobau Park.
Nauga knows that the visitors are coming for revenge this Saturday, a year on from the last time they held the Farebrother and lost it to Nadroga in their worst ever defeat in the history of the game where they failed to score a try.
Our rugby commentator, Mala Veisamasama said this is expected to motivate the Nadroga team this Saturday.
The Nadroga and Naitasiri match kicks-off this Saturday at 3pm at Lawaqa Park and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM.
