Natuva Meets Water Engineers
According to Department spokesperson Maika Nagalu, they met with Captain Natuva yesterday afternoon and he has requested that an immediate solution be sought with regards to the water truck shortage.
Meanwhile, engineers have been working around the clock flushing out pipes and have said that residents in Lami and Delainavesi right up to Veisari can expect water back in their taps this morning.
They added that water supply may be low until they are able to build up enough water pressure.
PWD added that once water supply is restored to this area, they will move onto other areas affected in the Central Division.
For residents in Levuka, water supply will only be available from 5am to 8am, then from 12pm to 1pm and from 5pm to 8pm in the evening in Levuka Town and surrounding villages every day.
Up in the North in Labasa, engineers have started work on the two main bore holes, in Nabekavu and at Nakama, which cut off water to residents in the main town centre and in Bulileka, and they said water may be back by late today.
