The high court has ruled that Natural Waters of Viti Limited must continue to pay bond on each carton of Fiji water exported to the US until a final decision is made on their court case.

High Court Judge Jocelyn Scutt has this afternoon extended the temporary stay order on the bond payment granted on the 21st of January, then extended to the 6th of February until the case proper concludes. This means that Natural waters must pay bond on its exports if it is to continue exporting Fiji Water.

The Court heard that the applicant, Natural Waters, is allowed to export at the value of US $4-5 per carton.

Natural Waters of Fiji had already provided a bank bond of $5 million.

The next Natural Waters shipment, which consists of 230 containers and worth US $1.8 million, will leave Fiji on Monday.
