This years GP Batteries Fiji Sun National soccer league competition will begin in two weeks.

After an emergency meeting, League Board Chairman, Sheik Ibrahim told Fijivillage that the official opening will be done on the 4th of March and the first league match will be played at Prince Charles Park with the Nadi-Rewa match.

He said the soccer district officials have agreed to the changes in the fixtures.

Ibrahim further confirmed that this year only two rounds of league matches will be played which is in line with the Oceania Football Confederation.

The first round will end in August this year and second round will start in November.

He said winner of the first round will get the prize money however winner of the second round will represent Fiji in the O-league competition in 2014 as Ba already qualifies for the O-league next year.
