The Fiji Football Association has indefinitely suspended the national coach Claudio Canosa as of today.

Acting President, Anil Sharma in a press conference in the last hour said that the board of control will now meet in the next few days to decide on Canosa's future.

Sharma added that development Director, Saiyad Ali will now look after Fiji's preparation for the Pacific Games in August.

He also clarified that Canosa's contract clearly stated that the President or his nominee will have a say when naming the national team.

It also stated that the board of control needs to look into the selection and see whether the coach's selection is justified.

More on Canosa's suspension in the next hour.
