National reps impressive at Lawaqa 7s
As the first quarter final is underway, defending champions of the Series Namosi 2 which has the services of many players from the Police Blue team such as Etonia Naba beat Suva 22-19.
The game went into sudden death after both teams were tied at 19-all at full time.
Looking at the other quarter finals: Rewa will be taking on the Digicel Fiji Warriors side which is laced with experienced players like Kelemedi Bola, Jerry Burotu, Watisoni Votu, Pio Tuwai and Mitieli Nacagilevu.
The Warriors are still smarting from their 21-14 loss to Lautoka in the Pool games, will be taking on Rewa and the organisers believe this will be a fiercely contested match.
In the third quarterfinal, Lautoka 1 will be taking on Namosi 1 which is made up of majority of the Prison Wardens team with players like Lepani Nabuliwaqa, Illai Tinai and Apisai Nayabo.
The fourth quarterfinal will see the Digicel Barbarians led by Emosi Vucago take on Vatukoula.
The games are currently underway in Sigatoka.
