As we mark International Day of Peace today, a non-governmental organization has called on all people to support national dialogue on key issues as the way forward for Fiji.
Citizens Constitutional Forum Executive Director Reverend Akuila Yabaki stressed that we must use this day to create opportunities to engage with others and create inclusive spaces for dialogue and peace building.
Meanwhile, FemLINKPACIFIC's Coordinator Sharon Bhagwan Rolls said yes we are peace builders of the home, but we are also peace builders of the nation.
Rolls said collaboration with the media is an important way to ensure women's contributions to peace and security are recognized, and so International Day of Peace will be a day to deepen and strengthen the understanding and collaboration between media and civil society.
