All National Youth Day celebrations around the country have been postponed as a result of the Tsunami warning issued early this morning.
Interim Youth Minister Filipe Bole in a statement today revealed all celebrations around the country have been postponed until further notice.
In Suva, a music Festival and a themed march was planned where youth bands were expected to take part.
In Lautoka and Labasa, the Youth day celebrations centered around Provincial Youth Groups heading out to schools and hostels affected by the floods in January, to provide assistance and repair schools.
A total of over $31,000 was given by TFL and Fiji Water for the Youth Day celebration.
