The National Under 17 soccer team is all geared up to make Fiji proud as they take on American Samoa in the first match of the OFC under 17 play-offs.
Speaking from New Zealand this morning, Coach, Hussein Sahib said the players have been reminded how important each match will be.
Sahib said the boys gave a good performance in the warm up matches and same is expected of them today.
The Fiji U-17 soccer team will take on America Samoa at 1.30 today.
The Oceania qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 World Cup kicks off at North Harbour Stadium with eight teams looking to make a winning start to their Mexico 2011 bids.
In another match today, Vanuatu will play Papua New Guinea.
Group B matches start tomorrow when New Caledonia meet Solomon Islands and Tonga take on Tahiti.
Defending champions New Zealand have a bye first up and will not begin the defence of their crown until facing Vanuatu on Monday while Cook Islands also have a bye before meeting New Caledonia on Tuesday.
