The Ministry of Youth and Sports is tasked on coordinating sports and physical activities that will ensure that the National Sports Day holiday is celebrated widely around Fiji.
Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou said that the objective of the celebration is to engage half of Fiji’s population on the day to include those from the urban, semi urban and to the rural areas.
This will also include tourists and visitors who are in Fiji on Friday.
Tuitubou added that the public servants are taking the lead role in this celebration through their committees coordinated by the Ministry to organise inter ministry sports in the 8 centers of Suva, Lautoka, Labasa, Nausori, Sigatoka, Rakiraki, Kadavu and Ovalau.
