There will only be three changes allowed during a game in the National Soccer League competition.

Super Premier division sides requested Fiji FA to change their laws of substitution from three to five.

Fiji FA then sent a letter to FIFA, asking for the change which was turned down.

Fiji FA's referees director Chandra Segran said that a reply from Fifa states that one rule will apply for every team and whenever there is 90 minutes of soccer only three changes in a game will be allowed.

Segran said all the teams in Fiji will have to follow the rule and this year's National Soccer League competition will only have three changes.

The 2010 National Soccer League competition kicksoff tonight at 6:30 with the opening match between Lautoka and Nadi.
