The National President IX side has just claimed Bronze in what was a hard fought and exciting match against Australian Country in the Pacific Hockey Cup Tournament.

They held the Australians to a 1-all draw at full time and had to go into penalty shots with the side claiming the lead in the second sets of penalties 5-4.

Captain Shawn Corrie has described the game as an eye-opener for his new side, adding that had earlier lost to the Australian Country men's team in pool games.

Currently, the National Women’s team is facing the Australian Country Women’s side in the finals at the National Hockey Turf.
